Goodbyes are always painful, even when they are for the best. The video below shares such a moment of a heartbreaking goodbye between a Stafford pup and his best friend cat. Elvis the Stafford and Cheerio the cat formed a strong bond after the cat was adopted. Their owner, Corrinne Minnard, says that the two were inseparable every day.

Elvis was part of a litter from the family’s show dogs when Cheerio was brought home. As soon as he learned to walk, Elvis hit it off with the cat, and they’ve been best buds since. Out of the nine puppies in the litter, Elvis was the last to get a new home.

Before he was adopted, Corrinne let Elvis and Cheerio hang out one last time. The duo had the time of their life and a cute, yet a bit heartbreaking farewell. We’re just happy that this is a goodbye for the best, and we’re sure Cheerio will find a new best bud quickly.

Although we consider them mortal enemies, some cats and dogs are actually friends. Such is the case of Forsberg, a golden retriever, and Ginger, an orange-colored cat. These friends have been together for quite a long time and in their senior years, they loved lazing out in their home and cuddling on the couch. However, everything went south one day, when the 15-year old Ginger suddenly passed away.

This came as a complete shock to Forsberg. He no longer had a friend running around. The cat was suffering from thyroid cancer and passed away quickly. Forsberg didn’t understand what happened, so he wandered the house every day looking for Ginger. Sadly, he was nowhere to be found and Forsberg eventually became depressed.

Jen Philion, the dog’s owner, says that she hated seeing Forsberg in that state, so she decided to get him a new friend.

Maxwell is a tiny black playful kitten who bonded with Forsberg as soon as she entered her new home.

Now, Forsberg and Maxwell cuddle all day long on the same couch Ginger slept. 2 years after the adoption of Maxwell, the cat and dog have become inseparable.

This is a true example that cats and dogs can love each other and be best friends forever.

A Doberman mother named Ruby has accepted an orphaned newborn kitten into her litter of puppies

Ruby accepted the kitten named Ramlin’ Rose as if she were one of her own, showing how big her heart is.

Ruby’s human Brittany Callan and her family have 14 Dobermans at their farm including the six that Ruby recently gave birth to.

A week after Ruby gave birth, Callan heard a faint meowing from behind her garage, and so she went to investigate.

She found a lonely kitten, so she and her cousin Nicole Gibbs waited around to see if the kitty’s mother would return.

A little while later, with no mother returning, and after hearing some coyote calls, the pair took the kitten inside to keep her safe.

She named her Rambin’ Rose and as she only seemed a few days old, she placed her with Ruby in the hope she could get some milk.

Newborn kittens need milk to survive, and thankfully Ruby was full of it. So Callan introduced the two.

The introduction was easy enough, Callan placed the kitten with its mouth on Riby’s smallest nipple, and to her surprise, Ruby did not react.

Ruby actually became quite attached to her new baby, and they became closer and closer as time went on.

Apparently, Ruby carries Ramblin’ Rose around in her mouth, and often takes her away from her rowdy brothers, and lays her down on the safety of the couch.

“[Ruby] grew up with small animals [and learned] to be nice and just lick them and be friendly with everything,” says Callan. “She’s just an extremely, extremely compassionate dog.”

Ruby used to share the front car sear with a rabbit, and even cuddle with baby ducks in their yard.

Despite their obvious differences, Ramblin’ Rose and her puppy siblings all cuddle together at night and get on absolutely fine.

Snow is one of the best things about this time of the year, don’t you think? When the streets are covered in snow, they look as if they are a part of some type of wonderland kingdom, with sparkling icing all over.

Another possible explanation could be that dogs like to investigate and manipulate their environment, and snow offers them an excellent opportunity to do so. Also, snow is fun and dogs know it too! So the next time you’re worried about your dog being in the cold, think that he actually might really enjoy it. Give him something warm to wear if you think it’s necessary and go out in the snow to have fun together.

Nick Abbott, 31 years old was born deaf and is now the owner of a sweet puppy who is also unable to hear. He adopted his dog, Emerson through the foster-based rescue, NFR Maine. The good people at the NFR Maine that rescues and fosters animals freed Emerson from a Florida shelter when he was only a month and a half old. Then he was sent further north. A cute black Labrador mix, Emerson was suffering from canine parvovirus as well as seizures.

Lindsay Powers, who works at NFR Maine, said that they found that his hearing was impaired after he came back from the vet, and they were not sure whether he had been born with a disability or maybe something had happened to his hearing when he was younger but Emerson does not let that get in his way at all and he loves living just like the other puppies out there.

Nick and Emerson have learned to communicate in their own special way, the owner now teaching his pooch sign language, as they embark on this “journey through life together.” He says: “The bond that we have is awesome, we understand each other very well. I’d like to think it was meant to be. He’s special.”

Dogs are man’s best friend and Nick is lucky to have found his, but Emerson is much luckier that has found a human who’ll love him and care for him, as he should’ve been from the very beginning.

Kokoro (こころ), the internet-famous fluffy poodle has passed away, his owner announced in a post:

突然のご報告になりますが実はこころが天国に旅立ちました

(Translation: This is a sudden news but Kokoro has, in fact, left us and gone to heaven.)

Feeling sad and missing the beloved pooch, Kokoro’s owner will continue to post videos and pictures of him on Instagram even he’s passed away.

Kokoro, from Tokyo, Japan, has gone viral on Twitter in August for his fluffiness.

Rest in peace, Kokoro. Hope you are enjoying life somewhere over the rainbow bridge.

A stray dog ‘cried tears of joy’ as a stranger took the time to feed it.

Footage of the heartbreaking encounter has been shared on social media and shows the pooch wandering around the streets of Jinzhong in Shanxi province of north China.

In the clip, the small dog can be seen standing on its hind legs as it swings its front legs in the air, appearing to be asking for food.

And as the woman hands its some sausage, the pup’s eyes start to well up as if it was overwhelmed at being fed.

Another part of the clip sees the woman return to the park to check on the dog, with it recognising her and coming over to greet her.

And as soon as she offers it another treat, the dog starts to get a bit teary once again.

Speaking to Xiaoxiang Morning Post, the woman said she tried to carry the dog to her car but it jumped from her hands.

“Me and my friends were on the way to a park when we saw the stray dog,” she told the publication.

“He started crying when we gave him food and I tried to put him in our car one time, but he refused and jumped back on the street.

“The dog feared that we would grab him like the dog snatchers because that’s what they would do – luring the dogs to the minivan with food before fleeing.”

After returning to the park for a second time, the woman noticed that the dog had gone.

She added: “I’ve tried to look for it a few times these few days but I couldn’t find him.

“I might try my luck asking the street cleaners later.”

Since the clip was shared online, it has, unsurprisingly, received a huge reaction from people, with many worried about what had become of the mystery pooch.

One user said: “Hope the dog didn’t get snatched away!”

“It’s a dog with soulful eyes. Please don’t hurt him,” another added.

Earlier this year, a stray dog was adopted by staff at a car dealership in Brazil.

The lonely dog kept turning up to the Hyundai Prime branch in the South American country. He was looked after each time and was sent on his way, but he returned every other night and employees eventually fell in love with him.

The staff at Flagler Humane Society came up with ideas for how they can help get the senior dogs adopted.

Most people think that Siberian Huskies are either black and white or grey and white. But they also come in other colors such as brown and white, red and white or silver and white. This particular brown Siberian husky is gaining so much attention on social media for having an unusual all-brown coat. While this canine breed also comes in brown and white, it’s really rare for these specific dogs to have a mostly brown coat.

So, it’s no wonder that this Siberian husky is becoming the latest canine sensation. SeQuoi Tenk, Quoi for short, is stealing the hearts of the internet with his uniquely beautiful features that are considered rare for his breed. If not for his blue almond-shaped eyes and erect triangular ears, no one would even believe he’s a husky. If anything, many people would think he’s a wild wolf.

People are falling in love with this rare brown Siberian Husky

But his owner, Nikki, affirms that Quoi is AKC certified 100% Siberian husky. She got him from an animal sanctuary when he was still a puppy. Nikki was initially looking to adopt an older dog. But due to her nomadic lifestyle, the animal sanctuary denied her request to adopt a senior dog. They advised her to get a puppy instead so it can be trained to adapt to ever-changing environments. And that’s when she decided to get the Siberian husky pup.

But it turned out that choosing the brown Siberian husky was the best decision ever. She named him SeQuoi Tenk, which my seem rather odd for a pet dog. But there’s actually a significant meaning behind the name.

The name SeQuoi was derived from the sequoia tree which is one of the strongest trees in the world. Nikki believes that a name can shape a personality. So, she wanted a name than can make her dog become big and strong.

The name Tenko was based on a Japanese folklore tale that depicts a heavenly fox with a benevolent and sweet character. While she wished for her dog to become strong, she also wanted him to be sweet just the same.

Quoi and his nomad mom travel the U.S.

Appearance-wise, Quoi’s wolf-like physical attributes suit the nomadic lifestyle. Together with his owner, he travels around the lower 48 states of the U.S. on their quest for adventure. On Instagram, Nikki gives a peek of their adventures highlighting the gorgeous chocolate brown Siberian husky. While the photos showcase some of the most breathtaking places in the U.S., there’s no denying that Quoi is the real star of the show.

“Everywhere we go, people stop in their tracks wanting to pet him,” reveals Nikki. “I get asked at least three–five times by strangers ‘what is he?’ and when I say ‘Siberian Husky,’ no one ever believes me.”

This story speaks about Neal and Jeremiah, 2 cute pups, who were strays when they arrived at the Texas high-kill shelter.

The 2 dogs arrived at the shelter separately, but when Jeremiah saw Neal, she crawled over and lay on top of him.

The founder of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, Stacey Silverstein, said that the dogs gave each other comfort as they thought they were in danger.

The 2 puppies would have died if Silverstein hadn’t intervened, as being in a kill shelter means that they will likely end up euthanized. Another dog called Jagger was also rescued from the shelter.

The 3 dogs are now receiving their treatments and they will be fostered if they are not adopted directly.

Moms are always excellent whether they are humans or animals. There is always a special bond between any mom and her babies. But, losing a litter, can be destructing on the mamma.

And that what happens with a dog in Atlanta, she lost her litter, and she is suffering because of that. Kiah has found comfort in stuffed animals’ litter, but it was fake.

Cherokee County Humane Society found her wandering the streets. Vets learned that she was extremely pregnant, and they found some abuse’s signs as well, because of a shot by a monster.

The veterinarian had discovered that her pups were dead in her belly for many days, so he performed an emergency C-section to remove them to save her life.

The woman who is fostering Kiah, Caroline Claffey, said Kiah’s spirits are still low, but the toys make her feel better.
